Clindamycin-associated pseudomembranous colitis: a potentially fatal adverse drug reaction

Clinicians should be aware of the possible reactions to the use of clindamycin in treatment of oral and other infections. The clinical symptoms of pseudomembranous colitis, a potentially lethal condition, are described, and the literature is reviewed.
