Internal enamel pearls: report of case

GE Kaugars

A case of enamel pearls occurring within dentin is presented. The internal enamel pearl appears to be a rare entity (six reported cases), which has a predilection for the premolar/canine region and may arise from the epithelium of the enamel organ rather than Hertwig's epithelial root sheath.
