Improving the dental office environment for the older patient



TJ Bomberg and NS Ernst

An awareness of some of the physiologic changes associated with the aging process have been described. The dental office physical and human environment capability for treating the older patient can be enhanced by using some of the adaptive techniques discussed. Consideration demonstrated to the elderly patient reflects favorably on both the profession of dentistry and the individual dental office.
