Suction cups on maxillary dentures: report of case

O Cayetano and ME Boone

Indiana University School of Dentistry, Indianapolis 46202.

A report of case is presented in which a maxillary denture was fitted with a suction cup causing a round, depressed area of inflammation on the center of the palate. Awareness of existing prosthodontic practices is important to recognize and manage such a case for the restoration of tissue health and prevention of further tissue damage.
