A case report. Underdiagnosis of an odontogenic keratocyst: common cyst can be controversial lesion

A mass removed from a 68-year-old patient was misdiagnosed as a benign squamous epithelial cyst. The lesion actually represented an odontogenic keratocyst. The patient had no sign of the basal cell nevus syndrome. After 12 months, there has been no recurrence.
