DENTAL SPLINT PRESCRIPTION PATTERNS: A SURVEY

Calvin J. Pierce D.M.D., Ph.D.1, Robert J. Weyant D.M.D., Dr.P.H.2, Harvey M. Block D.M.D.3, and David C. Nemir Ph.D.4

1 Assistant Professor, Dental Behavioral Science, University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, Pittsburgh 15261
2 Assistant Professor, Department of Dental Public Health, University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine, Pittsburgh
3 Research Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy and Physiology, University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine, Pittsburgh
4 Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Texas, El Paso, Texas

A footnote was inadvertently dropped from Table 3 (page 251) in "Dental Splint Prescription Patterns: A Survey," February JADA. The footnote indicated that the approximate total number of splints made/year (marked with a **) were extrapolated to the total U.S. population of 248,709,873. The Journal regrets this error.
