CC Kelsey, BR Lang, and RF Wang

Department of Prosthodontics, School of Dentistry, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor 48109, USA.

In this clinical trial, the authors evaluated the responses of 25 experienced denture wearers in regard to the effectiveness of five denture adhesive pastes. The patients responded to questions about the effect of the pastes on quality and duration of retention as well as on mastication. Subjects were also asked which product they considered to be best. Eighteen (72 percent) of the 25 subjects rated Secure (John O. Butler Co.) denture adhesive paste best overall.
