Abutment stabilization using a nonresilient gingival bar connector



FS Tautin

A preformed or cast metal bar can be used to stabilize abutment teeth for removable partial dentures. In addition to splinting, the bar provides a method of indirect retention and aids in preserving the underlying alveolar bone.
