Dr. James S. Cole, Dallas, was appointed dean of the Baylor College of Dentistry at the Texas A&M University System Health Science Center.

Dr. Harold M. Kemple, Bend, Ore., won the St. Charles Medical Center’s North Star Award for Leadership in Health Care.
Dr. Gregory A. Lacy, Morgantown, W.Va., was installed as president of the West Virginia Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Karin Vargervik, San Francisco, was appointed to the Larry Hillblom Distinguished Professorship in Craniofacial Anomalies at the University of California San Francisco.
