Editor’s note
JADA’s Product News section was developed in response to reader requests for more information on new materials and equipment entering the dental marketplace. The section is scheduled to appear twice a year, spotlighting products introduced in connection with two key dental meetings: the ADA’s own annual session and the Chicago Dental Society’s Midwinter Meeting. The section is labeled "Advertorial" as a signal to readers that the products included are not necessarily endorsed by the ADA, by JADA or by the ADA subsidiary that produces The Journal. To underscore that point, the section is printed on a colored background, emphasizing its differentiation from JADA’s editorial content. The Product News section, therefore, is purely informational, and we hope readers will view it in that limited context.
