In endeavoring to meet the needs of JADA readers, ADA Business Enterprises Inc. has partnered with the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs and Division of Dental Science to create a new feature: Practical Science.

This feature will debut in August JADA and will provide scientific information on "practical issues of interest" to the general practitioner, ADA’s primary membership.

The monthly Practical Science feature will present articles on topics of interest prepared by CSA members. Topics include fluorosis; treating special patients; anesthetics, analgesics and pain control; and diagnosis and management of recurrent herpes simplex infections.

"We are really excited about the opportunity to take scientific findings and translate them to the day-to-day practice of dentistry," said JADA editor Dr. Marjorie K. Jeffcoat.
