CYBERNEWS

ADA E-MAIL SYSTEM KEEPS YOU CURRENT
If staying up-to-date on news and issues from the ADA is important to you, there’s a new way to get the very latest information quickly and easily: the ADA Update and E-Gram electronic communications systems.

To date, more than 41,000 dentists have submitted their e-mail addresses to receive these electronic communications. Each message, presented in a graphically appealing but quick-to-download format, provides several brief updates on important developments and breaking news with hyperlinks to ADA.org for complete information.

The ADA Update is a monthly message penned by ADA President D. Gregory Chadwick and Executive Director James B. Bramson to provide ADA members with timely information on key issues such as lobbying efforts in Washington, legal actions affecting dentistry and upcoming events. The first ADA Update was sent out shortly after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks last year, providing news and information on dentistry’s response to the attacks.

The ADA E-Gram, which debuted in March, is another electronic communication vehicle available to subscribers. ADA E-Grams go out several times each month. They update members on breaking news and promote new products and services available to members through the Association’s business partners, including promotional offers and news from the ADA Member Advantage program.

There’s no need to be concerned about giving out your e-mail address. Your privacy is ensured with a pledge from the ADA not to sell your e-mail address or permit its use outside the tripartite—the local, state and national levels of organized dentistry. Plus, you can opt out of the system at any time.

If you’re interested in receiving the most up-to-date communications from your Association, just send your name, membership number and e-mail address to "e-mail{at}ada.org" to sign up.
