Dr. C. Ronald Franks, Gransonville, Md., was appointed Secretary of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
Dr. Paul Glassman, San Francisco, was re-elected president of Special Care Dentistry.
Dr. Thomas J. King Jr., Oak Lawn, Ill., received the Alumni Loyalty Award from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. Dr. Paul Landman, Chicago, received the Organized Dentistry Activity Award.
Dr. Clarence Lindquist, Washington, was elected president of the Academy of Osseointegration. Other officers are Dr. Marjorie K. Jeffcoat, Birmingham, Ala., president-elect; Dr. Richard K. Rounsavelle, Torrance, Calif., vice president; Dr. Steven E. Eckert, Rochester, Minn., secretary; and Dr. Frank L. Higginbottom, Dallas, director.
Dr. Neil Peterson, Milwaukee, received the Distinguished Alumnus in Dentistry Award from Marquette University.
Dr. Thomas D. Pryse, Knoxville, Tenn., received the first Distinguished Service Award from the Tennessee Association of Orthodontists.
