Dr. James B. Bramson, Chicago, received the Alumnus of the Year Award from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
Dr. Cissy K. Furusho, Chicago, was named president of the American Association of Women Dentists.
Dr. Irwin D. Mandel, Cedar Grove, N.J., was honored for lifelong contribution to dental research by the Columbia University Medical Center.
Dr. Jeffrey L. Parrish, Bellevue, Wash., received the Citizen of the Year Award from the Washington State Dental Association.
Dr. Thomas D. Schiff, Tiburon, Calif., received the Hodges Endowed Professorship in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry.
Dr. Charles E. Wait, Scottsdale, Ariz., was elected president of the Flying Dentists Association. Other officers are Dr. Jim Schall, Forest Hill, Md., vice president-elect; Dr. Mark E. Mosier, Clarinda, Iowa, vice president-central district; Dr. Steve L. Combs, Scottsbluff, Neb., vice president-western district; and Dr. Allan D. Johnson, Phoenix, vice president-Pacific district.
