Author’s response

I appreciate the opportunity to respond to respond to Dr. Rummel’s inquiry.

Digital radiographs, photographs or almost any other digital concept can be altered by those with the ability to do so and who want to be dishonest. Much like every other area of life, we hope that the vast majority of practitioners are honest. I believe that to be so. However, if I were a third-party payer, I would probably require a signature verifying that the radiographic images sent to me are not altered.
