INSURANCE SOLUTION

I have a simple solution to the letters to the editor from Drs. Robert Stevenson, Thomas Machnowski and Robert Helmholdt in October JADA regarding Dr. Jeffcoat’s July editorial, "A Double-Edged Sword: Insurance A to Z." The solution is direct reimbursement.

The American Dental Association has funded its promotion, but the grass-roots dentists have, for the most part, failed to embrace the concept and its promotion. It’s the most effective tool we have against insurance industry abuses.
