APPOINTMENTS/ELECTIONS/AWARDS

Dr. Jack G. Caton, Rochester, N.Y., received the Gold Medal Award from the American Academy of Periodontology. Other recipients are Dr. J. Gary Maynard, Richmond, Va., Master Clinician Award; Dr. Francis G. Serio, Jackson, Miss., Humanitarian Award; and Dr. Ray C. Williams, Chapel Hill, N.C., Outstanding Periodontal Educator Award. Dr. Rowland A. Hutchinson,Louisville; Dr. Brian L. Mealey, San Antonio; and Dr. Elmer C. Patterson, Macon, Ga., were given Fellowship Awards.

Dr. Clifton O. Dummett, Los Angeles, received an honorary Doctor of Science degree from Meharry Medical College.

Dr. Nancy J. Goorey, Worthington, Ohio, saw dedication of the Dr. Nancy J. Goorey Educational Suite at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry.
