The guest editorial "Dental Digital Radiography: More Than a Fad, Less Than a Revolution," by Mel L. Kantor, D.D.S., M.P.H. (October JADA), contained two errors.
The sentence at the bottom of column two on page 1360 should have read, "Yet to the dismay of the proponents of dental digital radiography, a survey of a simple random nationwide sample of 1,709 general dentists in private practice revealed that only 11.5 percent (with a margin of error of ± 2.5 percent) use digital technology for all of their intraoral imaging (M.K., unpublished data, 2004)."
Reference 7 should have read thus: "van der Stelt P. Filmless imaging: the uses of digital radiography in dental practice. JADA 2005;136:137987."
