Dr. Ellsworth T. Bowser, Pittsburgh, was named as one of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine’s Legacy Laureates for his outstanding professional and personal accomplishments.
Dr. Marc Geissberger, San Francisco, was named a fellow of the Leadership Institute of the American Dental Education Association.
Dr. Steven I. Gold, New York City, received the Northeast Society of Periodontists’ Scopp Award in recognition for his service to the profession and society.
Dr. David S. Williams, Columbia, Tenn., was installed as president of the Southern Association of Orthodontists. Other officers are Dr. Mark Johnson, Marietta, Ga., president-elect; and Dr. John B. Whitney, Baton Rouge, La., secretary-treasurer.
Dr. Douglas Young, San Francisco, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry.
