In Dr. Nestor Cohenca and colleagues August JADA article, "The Incidence and Severity of Dental Trauma in Intercollegiate Athletics" (

), they did not include womens softball.
I must assume that there is a reason for this omission, as womens softball has a significant number of dental injuries as witnessed by the use of multiple types of guards and shields in the sport. I am curious to know what the reason for this omission is, especially when two of the researchers are teaching at a school with one of the worlds premier womens softball programs.
