ESSENTIAL OILS

Just a note in response to Dr. John Gunsolley’s very fine December JADA article, "A Meta-analysis of Six-Month Studies of Antiplaque and Antigingivitis Agents" ( JADA 2006;137[12]:1649–57[Abstract/Free Full Text] ).

It was interesting to read about the various approaches, and to learn that the "essential oils" played a critical role in one of the agents used (perhaps the most effective agent). What are the essential oils used? Nowhere in the article is it detailed what they are. It would be helpful to know.
