Dr. Arthur A. Dugoni, San Francisco, received the 2007 Shils Award from the Edward B. Shils Entrepreneurial Education Fund.
Dr. William Gaylord, Flagstaff, Ariz., was elected president of the American Association of Orthodontists. Other officers elected were: Dr. Raymond George, Sr., East Providence, R.I., president-elect; and Dr. Robert J. Bray, Somers Point, N.J., secretary-treasurer.
Dr. Paul Glassman, Greenbrae, Calif, was awarded the Saul Kamen Award from the Special Care Dentistry Association.
Dr. Steven A. Guttenberg, Washington, received the Sterling V. Mead Award from the District of Columbia Dental Society.
Dr. Ove A. Peters, San Francisco, has been named a professor of endodontics and Dr. Gurminder Sidhu, San Francisco, has been named assistant professor and director of radiology services at University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.
Dr. Roger Wray, Gainesville, Fla., was appointed program director of the Florida College of Dentistry Faculty Practice.
