The cover illustration for December JADA was developed in part after viewing an illustration of a geometric facial template included in an article found on the Internet. The Internet article indicated that the template was developed using a technique created by Dr. Stephen R. Marquardt, founder and chief executive officer of Marquardt Beauty Analysis, Inc., of Huntington Beach, Calif.
The December JADA cover illustration is an artist’s rendering and was not developed using the mathematical technique ascribed to Dr. Marquardt. Any confusion between the December JADA cover illustration and a template created using Dr. Marquardt’s technique was unintended.
