APPOINTMENTS/ ELECTIONS/AWARDS

Dr. John Casko, Iowa City, Iowa, received the 2008 Louise Ada Jarabak Memorial International Teachers and Research Award from the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation.

Dr. Mo K. Kang, Los Angeles, was recently named the first-ever Endowed Jack Weichman Chairman of Endodontics at the University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry.

Dr. Valerie A. Murrah, Chapel Hill, N.C., was elected president of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Other officers are Dr. Susan L. Zunt, Indianapolis, president-elect; Dr. Harvey Kessler, Dallas, vice president; and Dr. Michael A. Kahn, Boston, secretary-treasurer.
